Pedernales Falls State Park

It's been cold for the last few weeks here in Austin, and the chilly weather has had me thinking of a nice, warm day that we spent this summer out at Pedernales Falls State Park. It was our first time visiting this park, located on a stretch of the Pedernales River about 30 miles west of Austin, just outside of Johnson City.

We kind of went out there on a whim, just to spend a couple of hours soaking in the river at the Beach Area before heading back home. Not a ton to say about this park visit, except that it was a lovely day trip and I can't wait to go back!
