Bye Bye, Gatsby

I'm writing this blog post to mark the end of an era. I've retired the Gatsby version of this website and moved onto Next.js! This shift probably isn't a major surprise to anyone working in this space or who has read this blog for any amount of time.

I'll keep this post short and sweet, and resist the temptation to lament the slow death of Gatsby. I really like Juan Diego Rodríguez's post on that, The End of My Gatsby Journey on Smashing Magazine. That post really sums up my experience so well.

Instead, I thank Gatsby for everything it did for me and my little website, and commemorate closing one chapter and starting another. I still have a lot I'm figuring out about the future of this site, but I'm glad to be making a fresh start.
